or Queensbury accommodation? Queensbury is a town on the foot of the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York, the seat of Warren County. It was named in honor of Queen Charlotte. The town was initially settled in by Quakers who entered the area in 1762 but eventually moved out when the Revolutionary War broke out. They returned in 1783 when the war ended. Before the arrival of white settlers, the area was a favorite hunting spot for Iroquios Indians in the summer.
Attractions near the city include the Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom and West Mountain, a popular skiing area on the southwest part of the town. The town is also home to a number of schools, among them Adirondack Community College, Glenn Falls City School district, Hudson Falls Central School district and the Queensbury Union Free School District.
