or Redditch accommodation? The town of Redditch is in the northeastern part of the county of Worcestershire, in England. The area was once known as a needle and fishing hook producer, and at one stage, ninety percent of the world’s needles came from Redditch. Before becoming a new town in the 1960’s, Redditch was around for a long time – in fact, it was mentioned in the 14th century, in an account about the plague in England. Many of the old buildings and attractions remain however, like St Stephens Church, and the Church Green. The Forge Mill Needle Museum, which commemorates the town’s most important industry, is also worth a visit, as is the ruin of Bordesley Abbey, which was founded by Cistercian monks, and later served as a royal swannery. Arrow Valley Lake, and the surrounding Arrow Valley Park, are one of the outdoor beauty areas in the town, popular in the summer, and shopaholics, or those looking for modern amenities, should find it at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre. - Browse the Redditch Map or compare Redditch accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
