or Reno accommodation? Reno, Nevada, is a little like a smaller, less crowded version of Las Vegas. It has the casinos, the resorts, and a lot more attractions, but it’s not quite as crowded, and it’s proximity to the Sierra Nevada mountains adds an element of natural outdoor fun. Casino’s are one of the biggest draw cards in Reno, and there are a few that even non gamblers should visit. Atlantis, for instance, is a tropical themed masterpiece, and the Grand Sierra Resort almost has enough in terms of restaurants, pools, movie houses and other attractions to keep you busy for your entire stay. Wingfield Park on the Truckee River is a popular choice to get away from the bright lights, and there are activities like canoeing and an amphitheater that hosts events to see. It’s also the site of the Artown festival in July, and the Reno River Festival in May. Mountain biking in the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains, and in particular Rancho San Raphael Park is another popular choice. You could also choose to stroll through areas like Victorian Square, South Wells Avenue and California Avenue to enjoy shopping, restaurants and other attractions.
