or Roquebrune-Cap-Martin accommodation? Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, formerly Roquebrune, is a district between Monaco and Menton, in the Alpes-Maritimes department of south-eastern France. It is made up of several towns and settlements such as Roquebrune, Serret, Bon Voyage, Cap Martin peninsula, Carnolès and Cabbé. The history of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin is evident throughout the commune, and shows how the renaissance and medieval era intertwines inconspicuously with the contemporary architecture. The Sainte-Marguerite Church and the Cabanon Vallonnet cave along with luxury houses are a wonder. Visit the main square of the town and see the La France Triomphante statue and enjoy the picturesque view of the district and its neighbouring towns, you can even get a peak of the sun lowering over Monaco.
Walk along the narrow paths of town and head towards village centre and see the oldest olive trees in the area. Tour the Chateau on the hill that was built from the 10th century but has managed to preserve its original look after quite a few restorations. Other prehistoric places such as Grotte du Vallonnet (Vallonnet Grotto), Grotte de Saint Roman (Saint Roman Grotto), The Grotte du Repaire and Gallo-Roman and view the tinctures of human nature that existed.
Attend some of the annual events such as Fete de la Musique and the Festin des Genêts held in June, Procession vôtive in august, Foire à la brocante in September and the Gala du Mimosa in March. Enjoy activities such as hiking along the trail from Mont Gros and end up in Menton along the coast. Also enjoy water sports, parasailing, canoeing, fishing, diving and snorkeling among other activities.
