or Sabaudia accommodation? The town of Sabaudia lies on the coast of the province of Latina, in the central region of Italy. Unlike most Italian towns, this one was not founded or built during the roman or medieval eras, but was rather a product of 20th century development. It was built on the reclaimed marshes of Pontino, a little bit south of the capital of Rome, by the then dictator, Mussolini. Many buildings from the fascist era remain, and a walk through town is an interesting activity. Aside from the buildings though, and the rather unique history of the town, Sabaudia is primarily a beach resort, which sees visitors from Italy and abroad flocking to the golden sand beaches in the summer.
