or Saltburn-by-the-Sea accommodation? The town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea is located in the county of North Yorkshire, England, and is an important seaside holiday destination. It is a small town, with around six thousand residents, but it is an interesting and pleasant place to visit. What makes Saltburn so interesting is that, unlike many English towns, it was founded only in 1861, by English entrepreneur, Henry Pease. Many of the buildings that were then a part of his vision, like the Zetland Hotel, remain, albeit in new incarnations. The hotel, for instance, is now an apartment complex. Like most seaside town’s in England, Saltburn has a pier, that features traditional attractions and amusements, and which was recently renovated. There are also a range of Victorian buildings to see, as well as more unique attractions, like the smugglers museum, and the funicular that takes visitors up the cliff. Then there are annual celebrations, like the Victorian Celebrations, and the Folk Festival, which will appeal to the whole family. This may not be the biggest town, or the one with the most commercial attractions, but it is a great place for a traditional English seaside holiday. - Browse the Saltburn-by-the-Sea Map or compare Saltburn-by-the-Sea accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
