or Santa Clarita accommodation? Known as the fourth largest city in Los Angeles County, Santa Clarita sits on an area that used to be inhabited by the Tataviam people. Gold miners came to the area with the first discovery of gold by Francisco Lopez. Economic progress and a boom in the population soon followed with the establishment of railroads that connected Santa Clarita to neighboring towns.
The city is home to a number of attractions for visiting groups and families. The most famous attractions include Six Flags Magic Mountain Amusement Park and the California Institute of the Arts. Adjacent to Six Flags Magic Mountain is the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, another water park that is home to a number of water slides such as Black Snake Summit, the Reptile Ridge and the Bamboo Racer. Saugus Café is another landmark which is the oldest operating restaurant in Santa Clarita.
The city may have had a reputation for its boring night life, but this is slowly changing with the presence of such establishments as George’s Bistro, Club Bella, Howie’s Pub, Escape Theater, the Londoner Pub and All Corked Up.
