or Seaside (California) accommodation? Seaside, California is a city in the county of Monterey, California that was originally planned by Dr. J.L.D. Roberts and was later incorporated in 1954. The town’s beginnings coincided with the establishment of the Hotel Del Monte which was located a few miles from the subdivision of Seaside. The first post office opened in the city opened in 1891.
Seaside has a number of popular attractions, among them Message Mountain, which is the large sand dune near the junction of Freemont Boulevard and State Route 1 that has long been used by residents to send messages written in sand. Other points of interest include the Bayonet and Black Horse Golf Course, the Avery Art Gallery and numerous parks.
The city is home to 24 neighborhood parks and a large regional park, most of which come with athletic complexes and basketball courts. These include Laguna Grande Park, Roberts Lake, Sopper Field, Metz and Cutino Park. Most, if not all have picnic and recreational areas for visitors, locals and their families. Barbeque areas in these parks can be rented. - Browse the Seaside (California) Map or compare Seaside (California) accommodation from Hotels, Motels, B&Bs,
