Sailing cruises are available on the lagoon and the stunning Sellin Lake.
Some of the beaches are surrounded by beautiful woods laden with all form of exotic fruits fit to eat. These make for lovely walking trails. On top of the Granitz cliff area, lies the 19th century Temple Hill castle built by an ancient prince. While exploring the Grantiz, you will see the Black Lake and the Racing Roland. Friedenberg or the peace mountain is the most ideal place for picnicking and relaxation. You can also visit the old Altensien Mill which dates back to the 1300s. The Tauchgonde is a cable car facility which is a must try. Using it, you can explore the underworld of the Baltic Sea with a 3D underwater film and see fishes common on many local menus such as Jellyfish, plankton, tiny creatures, nimble shrimps and flatfish.
