Christmas is also a good time to visit the city in time for the Sherman Christmas Parade, a 90-year old local tradition, reliving an Old Town type of Christmas celebration. The Snowflake Festival, held annually in conjunction with the parade, is a two-day event that brings together food and retail sellers. It is hosted at Downtown Square where visitors can also enjoy hot coco and fair foods such as the famed Texas funnel cakes.
