The Pasar Triwindhu has several intriguing antiques worth seeing. The beautiful 17th century palace of Kasunanan and the Sahasra Adhi Pura Hindu Temple with a yoga center of 50 sacred sites should not be missed. The Sekaten or Garebeg Ceremony in Solo is one of the many colorful festivals held in the town. Each year, in the month of Mulud on the Japanese calendar, thousands gather for a mass ceremony celebrating the life of the prophet Muhammad. Other popular festivals include the exciting Garebeg Mulud Gunungan, Garebeg Besar in the month of March, the Greberg Besar Ceremony and Labuhan Ceremony in the month of April, and the Tanggap Warsa Suro which is an exciting Japanese New Year’s festival.
