or Sopot accommodation? The city of Sopot is in Pomerania, in Poland, and lies between Gdynia and Gdansk. Unlike those larger cities, Sopot is relatively small, with only around forty thousand people calling it home, but it does offer a range of attractions for the visitor. One of these attractions is the pier, which at over five hundred meters long, is the longest wooden pier in Europe, and is a unique way to see the Bay of Gdansk. The city is also home to the Sopot International Song Contest, which is the second largest in Europe, after the Eurovision Song Contest. Spa’s make up another important part of the town’s tourist attractions, and with health themed destinations like the inhalation mushroom, which is a bromide spring, a large number of visitors come to Sopot to improve their health. If architecture interests you, then a visit to the ‘Crooked House’ which is a building that looks as if it has been pulled out of shape, is a must. The city center is another place where you will find historic buildings from a variety of eras, and even the beaches have historic bathing houses and other attractions in some areas.
