or Sparti accommodation? Sparti is the capital of Laconia in Greece. It was built in 1834 by King Otto on the ancient Sparta village to create the most remarkable Greek city. The name Sparti is also the Demonic Greek word for Sparta. The municipality is 84.5 km˛ large and is situated in fertile valley of River Eurotas and it is border by Taygetos Mountains which has a lot of citrus and olives. The city is covered by numerous amounts of landmarks representing different periods of the Spartan history. The Sanctuary of Apollo of Amyklai, the Sanctuary of Artemis of Orthia, Leonidaion temple and the Vafeion tomb are a few places of interest that you can visit. Other attractions include the Archaeological Museum of Sparta and the Acropolis. The museum houses the ruins from the digs at Sparta and other sites, while the Acropolis and the theatre houses fragments from the Roman and Byzantine eras. The museum is free to enter during the months of November to March. There are many places in Sparti to find suitable accommodations.
