Sperlonga can be reached by road or train from Rome and Naples, or taking a bus is also possible from various surrounding locations, including Terracina, Fondi and Formia/Gaeta.
Sperlonga is fairly small and it is easy to get around on foot if you don’t mind climbing lot of steps. Along the Via Flacca you will find shacks selling Mozzarella di Bufala, a traditional mozzarella made with Water Buffalo milk. Most of the restaurants in Sperlonga serve seafood, with a few offering pizza. The city also benefits from being close to the agricultural area, and many local fruits and vegetables are sold here and very fresh.
