Ostbayernschau is another exciting festival. The historical play in memory of the murdered Agnes Bernauer is very moving event. The city’s annual Jazz Festival is one of Europe’s largest and features a variety of international artists. Bürgerfes is held biennially at the city’s historical centre. Activities in Straubing include boating, ice hockey and American football as well as leisurely hikes and walks around the city’s scenic countryside.
