Hobart is Tasmania's capital, and the arrival point to the annual Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race - held every Boxing Day. Hobart is a very distinctive city, surrounded by Wineries and the historic Port Arthur site. Other places of interest include Hamilton, Cockle Creek, Sorell, Kempton and Bruny Island.

The east coast is home to Flinders Island, Swansea and Orford. A favourite amongst eco-tourists, it provides a different take to Australian beach culture, away from the crowds and the bustle of the mainland. Activities include kayaking, diving, sea cruise or walking.
