The Santa Prisca Cathedral is at the centre of the city, and was built in the 1700’s. At the very top of the town is where you will find a statue of Jesus called “Cristo”, and the view from up there is absolutely awesome.
Every shop you enter in Taxco will sell silver items of every description. This is due to the old and new silver mines in the area. The silver items in the city are abundant, and you will find that the prices are very reasonable.
Café Sasha is a very nice place with a great atmosphere, where you can enjoy a few drinks, or one of their delicious vegetarian dishes. There are also many places offering Pozole, a local dish, which is very tasty, and definitely worth a try.
