First, visitors can visit the Treasury of the National Jewels where they will see a large collection of some of the most expensive jewelries in the world including the worlds' largest uncut ruby, the worlds' largest pink diamond, and a free standing golden globe made from 34 kilograms of gold and 51,366 precious stones. Next, tourists can visit some of Tehran's global prides such as the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini which serves as a very large shrine and shopping center and the Milad Tower, which is the fourth tallest tower in the world and the 12th tallest freestanding structure in the world. For a touch of history, tourists can visit the Golestan Palace which is the oldest of the historic monuments in the city. Tehran also offers quite a number of leisurely activities. Visitors can go to the Tochal Sport and Recreational Complex and try out the facilities hiking trails, ski resort, gym and many more. They can also wander around and shop at Tehran's massive bazaar where streets are lined with stalls selling cheap and affordable items under the sun.
