It lies on the Tohoku northern line of the Shinkensen and highway and Ustunomiya is the largest city. The temples of Nikko are undoubtedly the star attractions of Tochigi. Tochigi Wa-Gyu is a Japanese raised beef. This pricey marbled-fatty beef can be served as steak, burgers, thinly cut for sukiyaki or shabu-shabu dishes and is well revered by locals. Soba and udon Soba is noodles made from buckwheat and other grains.
