It is known as being the home of seven nationally registered historic places–reflecting different old architectural styles–which are open to tourists for public viewing. These sites include the Nathan Fisher House; the Joseph Lothrop House, also known as the 1970 Restaurant and Tavern; the Lyman School for Boys; Maples Cottage; Jonah Warren House; West Main Street Historic District; and the Westborough State Hospital. Most recently in 2006, the Vintonville Historic District was added to the list making a recent total of eight historical places in Westborough.
